Embark on a remarkable journey with Awesome Adventures Fiji aboard a high-speed catamaran. Departing from Denarau Marina, you'll cruise through the stunning Mamanuca Islands and onward to the gateway of the Yasawa Islands—your destination for the day, the breathtaking Kuata Island.

Fiji Island Cultural Experience

Arrive mid-morning at Kuata Island, where you’ll be warmly welcomed by an official spokesperson from the traditional landowners of the island. They’ll guide you to a meeting area where a traditional Fijian welcome ceremony awaits. Here, you’ll be introduced to kava, Fiji’s traditional ceremonial drink, and learn about its cultural significance.

Next, meet the Kuata Island Day Cruises cultural ambassadors—locals who have lived in the Yasawa Islands their entire lives. With warmth and pride, they’ll share their knowledge of indigenous Fijian arts and crafts. These aren’t just decorative pieces; they serve practical purposes in daily village life and reflect deep cultural traditions passed down through generations.

In Fiji, food is called kana. With no supermarkets or shops in the Yasawa Islands, locals rely on the land and sea, trading with neighbouring villages for what they can’t produce themselves. Our ambassadors will introduce you to authentic Fijian cuisine—from foraging and farming, to the traditional island methods of cooking. You'll gain insight into how Fijians grow, prepare, and enjoy food in harmony with nature.

Song and dance are woven into the fabric of Fijian life. The Meke—a traditional spiritual folk dance—brings stories to life through movement and chant. Performed by men, women, and children, the Meke shares tales of everyday life, mythology, and heroic victories. As part of your experience, enjoy a captivating Yasawa Islands Meke performed by our cultural ambassadors, showcasing the soul and rhythm of the islands.

Lunch & Afternoon Leisure

• After an unforgettable marine experience, unwind with a delicious buffet lunch (served from 12:00 PM) at our island bar and restaurant. Spend the afternoon at your own pace:
• Snorkel off the beach and explore vibrant coral gardens
• Discover walking trails leading to scenic island viewpoints
• Relax poolside with a refreshing cocktail
• Optional Adventures: For thrill-seekers, upgrade your day with activities like an introductory dive, certified diving, Snorkelling with Reef Sharks or a Marine Conservation Experience (additional charges apply).

Purchases on the island (drinks, activities) are charged to a personal account, payable before departure (3.5% credit card fee applies).

⛴️ 08:45 – Depart on Yasawa Flyer II (approx. 1.75-hour journey)

      10:30 – Arrive at Kuata Island followed by Fijian Island Cultural Experience. 

      12:00–14:00 – Buffet lunch at the bar/restaurant
☀️ Afternoon – Free time for optional activities & relaxation
⛴️ 16:00 – Depart Kuata Island
       17:45–18:00 – Arrive back at Port Denarau

Cancellation Policy  

• No fees applicable should guest have to postpone or amend booking to another travel date up to 1 hour prior to departure.  

• Cancellation 48 – 25 hours prior to travel, cancellation fee 50% of booking value applies. 

• Cancellation 24 hours or less prior to travel or no-show, cancellation fee 100% of booking value applies.
